Hampson Industries plunges into administration

Aerospace tooling and manufacturing group Hampson Industries has entered administration.

The board of Hampson Industries has filed a notice of intention to appoint Simon Ian Kirkhope and Chad Griffin of FTI Consulting LLP as joint administrators of the Company in line with the Insolvency Act 1986.

The appointment is expected to become effective later today.

The board put the company up for sale on 14 February 2012 but could not find a suitable buyer so the Board terminated the formal sale process in July.
