Impact Handling unveils new storage facility

Impact Handling, the UK distributor for Cat forklift trucks and storage equipment, unveiled at a launch event last month, a new storage facility capable of holding £2m buffer stock of equipment for customers.

Alongside the company’s Corby depot, the new customer service centre will support UK-based manufacturers that require a flexible and responsive service to meet changing needs.

Business development manager Peter Woodhouse said: “[Impact Handling's] aim is to be a one stop shop for all our customers. We source the right equipment, maintain and manage it, produce high quality management reports and work with our customers to give the flexibility they need in a real value for money package.”

The launch event also saw experts present the new Cat EP13-20PNT range of 48 volt electric fork lift trucks and the Ulma Inoxtruck stainless steel, pallet trucks. The electric trucks’ ergonomic design and power steering is aimed at improving the working environment. The machine’s noise levels can be reduced to 66/67dB, which is a more suitable level of noise exposure for a human ear on a consistent basis.

The electric lift trucks are manufactured in Almere, Holland, and were developed in conjunction with the Japanese company Nichiyu.
