Paris trade show to help defence firms identify opportunities

Trade group ADS, jointly with UKTI DSO, will host the UK industry pavilion at Eurosatory, the Paris-based defence and security trade show running this week.

The event is expected to represent an occasion to foster greater Anglo-French industrial collaboration.

Following the 2010 Lancaster House agreement, UK companies are vying for opportunities in the European defence markets and to examine where they might be able to complement French defence manufacturers in joint ventures.

Additionally, UK companies attending Eurosatory are keen to increase opportunities to engage with emerging and growing global markets.

Gordon Lane, managing director of defence at ADS, said: “As the leading European exporter of defence equipment to the global market, it is important for UK industry to offer quality and battle-proven products to emerging customers in the Far East, South Asia and South America.”
