Morgan Technical Ceramics, a Stourport-on-Severn-based manufacturer, has been named Supplier of the Year by one of its key customers for the second time.

Morgan has worked with Grundfos, a manufacturer of energy efficient circulator pumps, for more than 40 years and was awarded this accolade across seven sites for the high standard of service it provides as well as the reliability, quality and cost of its precision ceramic shaft and bearing products.

Morgan was awarded the Supplier of the Year title over the heads of 2,000 other Grundfos suppliers and is now the first company to have been awarded the title twice over.

Grundfos vice-president Klavs Hornum, responsible for group purchasing, said:  “Morgan Technical Ceramics is a very well-known and well-liked supplier within Grundfos and their whole-hearted approach to developing projects to create innovative solutions, as well as their ability to meet tight deadlines, is second to none.

Responding to the award Liam Shaw, general manager of Morgan Technical Ceramics, Stourport said it was a great honour for the company to be named Supplier of the Year by Grundfos.

“I’m extremely proud of our team and it means a great deal to everyone at Morgan Technical Ceramics to be considered a key supplier by a top name in the pump market such as Grundfos and to be the first company to receive this award for a second time in five years,” he said.
