The naval marine company fought off strong competition from a host of Midlands companies and took the award for all round excellent performance.
Clayton Manley, Managing Director of Truflo Marine said: “This award caps an outstanding year for Truflo. Three years ago we developed a strategy to move into the civil nuclear market and tap the enormous potential in export markets across the globe.”
He added: “None of this success would have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of everyone at Truflo and crucially, the continued support of our customers who have placed their trust in us to design and deliver the highest quality valves, actuators and pressure reducing stations for critical applications.”
The company underwent a rigorous independent assessment by judges, including a detailed presentation and a series of site visits to the company’s Aston headquarters. Truflo has further cause for celebration as 2012 marks the 50th year of trading.
Truflo’s expansion into the civil nuclear market now accounts for 20 per cent of sales whilst a strong presence in foreign export markets accounts for 40 percent.
