This year’s event preparation is now well under way and we are pleased to be able to announce some very exciting changes for 2008.
Most importantly we are bringing manufacturing to the capital. We feel it is important that the UK's premier manufacturing event takes place in London. Given the current economic climate it is more important than ever that we showcase this country's manufacturing excellence to the widest possible audience and at the highest possible level. By taking the show to The ExCel exhibition centre The Manufacturer LIVE 2008 will be a truly national event.
We know how hard it is to justify time away from the factory, so this year we’ve squeezed all the great content into just one day (well, just over a day actually). The new format commences with the exhibition opening at 5pm on the 15th October with drinks and canapés served on each of the stands - allowing you the opportunity to meet the exhibitors in a relaxed and informal way. Alex Burns COO of Williams F1 will provide an exclusive and totally unprecedented insight into the manufacturing techniques and technology used in the normally highly secretive world of F1. Following this presentation and interactive session, there will be further opportunity to explore the show floor before the evening’s main event.
At 7pm, those staying for the prestigious 5th Annual Manufacturer of the Year awards will be invited to take their seats for a sumptuous black tie dinner and awards ceremony. This is a night packed with presentations, entertainment and networking. If you would like to find out more about the awards or to nominate an entry, click here.
We get back down to business at 9:30 on the 16th with the most comprehensively researched programme of seminars and workshops and discussion forums ever assembled. There is an outstanding mix of inspirational speakers, practical case studies and real learning opportunities. We guarantee you will take new-found knowledge and inspiration back to your shop floor or boardroom. This year the conference programme has been structured along 4 core streams to reflect the challenges and opportunities manufacturers have told us they are most interested in - Stream 1 is focussed on Finance, costs and input prices, Stream 2 will deal with all aspects of improving the production process itself, whilst stream 3 will focus on your people by dealing with leadership, motivation, training and skills. Finally we know you are all under pressure to examine your environmental impact and we hope to help you with our Green Manufacturing stream - this will cover practical and pragmatic tools and techniques to help you go green and save money!
If a full day of great content was not enough for you, why not check out the demo theatre with live demonstrations of the latest products and services in manufacturing. We are also providing opportunity to meet a whole range of product and service providers, with a greatly enhanced exhibition programme. Food and drinks will also be available all day in the many networking areas around the exhibition hall, giving you the chance to catch up with peers and share best practice. We hope to see you there!
Now is the time to get involved in the biggest and best ever - LIVE 2008 - for sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities

"The quality of people, you always get a good senior audience at the sessions. The feedback has been fantastic. It’s the quality of presentations, the quality of speakers all in one place. You have got to ask what is in it for me at any exhibition and there is no shortage of that here, they come in force."
Ed Stubs –Oracle
"The recent 2 day event at the Ricoh centre which my board attended and found the event to be exceptional in format and content."
