The West McLaren Mercedes Formula One team has ordered for a further seven high technology machine tools from Yamazaki Mazak, in addition to the eight previously announced.
The latest purchase order is for the additional supply of 4 Mazak Variaxis 500, 5 axis machining centres, 2 Mazak Integrex 100Y Mk. II and 1 Mazak Integrex 300Y Mk. II multi tasking turning centres.
The 15 new machines, which will all be installed in the McLaren Technology Centre, will be manufacturing component parts for gearboxes, steering assemblies, suspensions and transmissions for the next generation of West McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 racing cars.
