Marconi fights back

Marconi has dismissed yesterday’s news reports concerning its sales slump by claiming that it’s outperforming its competitors.
The UK telecommunications equipment maker said core sales had fallen 6 per cent in three months to £379m but analysts believe the revenues of its rivals had declined by 15 per cent. Marconi insists restructuring plans are still in place.
