Sports car manufacturer Group Lotus has announced a £31.5m, 5-year contract to improve its IT capabilities.
Under a global agreement, Logica will provide ongoing consultancy and IT support and procurement for Lotus’ operations in the UK, Malaysia and USA. Logica said the IT partnership would "enable Lotus to focus on its core strengths and assets, which will enhance functionality and improve efficiency, thus further facilitating Lotus’ world leadership in design".
The deal should provide Lotus with the opportunity to improve business efficiencies, reduce operational costs and react more effectively to market demand for its high performance sportscars.
Group Lotus Financial Director James Stronach said: “Lotus was looking for a high quality, cost effective, reliable service that included the flexibility required in the current dynamic market environment. Logica’s support will allow us to react more effectively and efficiently to business demands as well as expand into new markets, thus enabling us to maintain our competitive advantage.”
