The West-Midlands manufacturing sector received a further blow this week after automotive engineer Wagon cancelled plans to build a factory specialising in light-weight structures.
The factory would have employed 150 people and was set to make parts for the Jaguar F-Type sports car, the launch of which is being deferred to allow Jaguar to concentrate on its existing range.
Wagon also announced that underlying group profits had fallen from £6 milllion to £5.1 million in the six months to 30 September.
