Conquest Business Media, which just four years ago launched The Manufacturer magazine, is presenting The Manufacturer Expo 2002 as a fresh approach to the exhibition world.

Having been effectively ‘locked out’ of Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre for daring to put on an event in competition with the established but thinning annual Computers in Manu-facturing (CIM) exhibition, the new two-day event on 25 - 26 September will take over the freshly refurbished International Centre in Telford - the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. In addition to the exhibition proper, the expo will feature a uniquely designed programme of interactive, end user and case history-led seminar-workshops centred on the four key themes of Enterprise IT Applications, Supply Chain Management, Lean Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Strategy.

Conquest managing dir-ector Glen White said: “Exhibitions have too many unempowered people circling around collecting plastic bags and pamphlets. We know

from the results we have gained with The Manufacturer magazine that matching up reader enquiry needs with leading vendors and service providers, and delivering new business leads through our database and dedicated call centre, delivers valuable new business to our customers. We are now guaranteeing that same level of delivery to our exhibition customers.”

Conquest is in negotiations with major IT, thought-leadership and change management organisations with a view to their involvement with the UK’s leading new manufacturing event, and has already signed up major players.
