The Airbus A380 arrives in New York in preparation for its voyage around the US.
The world’s largest passenger plane is currently undergoing final preparations for its maiden voyage of the US.
The superjumbo, which embarked on its journey from Frankfurt to New York’s JFK airport, was said to include approximately 500 people - the first time that the jumbo has carried a practically full passenger load.
Arriving yesterday, the aircraft and its passengers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of plane spotters who were eager to see the arrival of the much anticipated superjumbo.
The US flight will include Dulles International Airport in Washington DC as well as the O’Hare airport in Chicago.
Airbus has been hit by hard times in recent months after a number of delays in the launch of the A380, including a number of job loses and cancelled orders.
