The first MG Rover has rolled off the production line in the Chinese city of Nanjing.
At the launch of its two new models, Nanjing Automotive chose to play music from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and displayed images of Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace against a video wall.
The company has said that the MG7 saloon and the MG-TF sports car would be priced between 180,000 and 400,000 yuan (£11,800 – £26,300).
State-owned Nanjing Automobile bought the assets of the collapsed car firm in 2005.
The firm plans to produce 200,000 new cars every year and will sell the vehicles around the world.
