Australian airline Qantas is to buy nine Airbus 320 jetlines for its low-cost carrier Jetstar.
Jetstar will use the planes on domestic and international routes from late 2007.
The value of the order, which is expected to be delivered over a 15-month period, has not been revealed.
In December Qantas struck a deal for eight A380 super-jumbo planes from Airbus. The new deal brings its total Airbus order to 20.
