Robert Wiseman Dairies said today it was “in excellent shape” and promised its suppliers a rise.

The Tesco-to-the-Co-op supplier said an across the board increase in its milk selling prices through will result in an increase in the price paid to all its milk suppliers.
The company said sales volumes and turnover for the year ending 31 March 2007 were in line with forecast and it confirmed 40 million litres of new volumes for the coming year.
Its business with the Co-operative group was growing ant it had started supplying the regional retailer Booths in the north of England. Organic milk orders from Tesco and Rachel's which began in November were encouraging and consumption of milk was being further stimulated through new products like Tesco flavoured organic milk, kids flavoured milk and a fortified milk product with Omega 3 and vitamins A, C and D.
Construction of the company’s new South West dairy at Bridgwater was progressing well and is expected to be operational as planned in late 2007
