Morning rise for Durex maker

Shares in SSL International – the maker of Durex condoms – have risen sharply following speculation of a takeover approach.
Shares in the company, which also owns of the Scholl footwear brand, soared by as much as 11 per cent as traders anticipated a bid – rumoured to be from Johnson & Johnson at 465 pence per share.
In mid-morning trading, SSL shares were 6.3 per cent, or 25.5 pence, higher at 425.25p.
SSL said it had not received an approach.
