e2v technologies, the specialist developer and manufacturer of high technology components and sub-systems, said today that its profits for the year ended 31 March 2007 may finish up being above expectations.
The one-time Marconi subsidiary that went to market in its own right three years ago, said in a trading update that overall sales growth for the year had been in line with management's expectations and the full year profit outcome is expected to be at the upper end or slightly above expectations.
The results will incorporate eight months of trading for the company’s newly-acquired Grenoble facility and organic growth for the Electronic Tube product group will exceed that of the Sensors and Semiconductors product group, consistent with the business profile at the half year.
CEO Keith Attwood, CEO commented: "We are pleased with the performance of the group as a whole during a period of significant change. The strong performance from the Grenoble acquisition, combined with organic growth from our UK operations is encouraging as we enter the new financial year with a solid order book. Following a successful integration programme, we now need our teams to focus on developing the business and generating growth from the expanded product portfolio and the enlarged distribution network. We believe that the outlook for the new financial year remains one of continued progress. Our focus on operational improvements will continue, as will our search for suitable acquisition opportunities."
