Airbus unveils UK job cuts

Airbus has confirmed further details for job cuts throughout Europe.
The plane manufacturer has announced that the UK will also be hit as part of its Power8 restructuring plan.
In earlier reports, Airbus announced that approximately 10,000 European jobs would be cut by 2010, however, the UK was not expected to be included within the figure.
It has now been confirmed that the UK will see 1095 jobs lost at its Filton site. Germany and Spain will also see substantial cut backs, although the majority will be lost in France at its Toulouse sites - 2305 at its production site and 964 at company headquarters.
