Remploy will meet with unions today to discuss the possible closure of 30 factories
Remploy is currently talking with four unions representing its staff regarding the closure of 30 factories throughout the UK, as well as an additional four factories in Scotland.
Unions have said that the closure could result in the loss of up to 300 staff in Scotland as well at the possibility of 2000 across the UK in a bid to avoid going over budget.
Remploy, which created jobs for the disabled after the second world war, currently has 5000 disabled staff working throughout its 83 UK factories.
