BAE Systems enters acquisition agreement

BAE Systems has agreed the purchase of Pitch Technologies AB (Pitch), the Swedish high-tech firm, for 61.3 MSEK.
Linköping, Sweden-based Pitch is an innovator of simulation products and services, which have been adopted by some of the largest government and industrial organisations worldwide, including NASA and Boeing.
The acquisition is of special benefit to both companies, due to BAE Systems’ need for air traffic control simulators and advanced computer-based training.
“The addition of Pitch to the BAE Systems family creates a world-class capability that will set a new standard for enterprise-level simulation interoperability and solutions for training and simulation,” explained Claes Erik Frölund, president of BAE Systems’ C-ITS business in Sweden.
