BAE appoints new boss

BAE Systems has announced that its current chief operating officer Ian King is to succeed Mike Turner as chief executive.
Turner is to step down in September as had been previously announced.
“[Ian’s] depth of knowledge of the global defence industry will benefit the continued progression of the successful strategy that has been pursued by the company,” said chairman Dick Olver.
