Icon Polymer wins Warrior contract

Icon Polymer has been awarded a major contract to mould rubber on to 14,000 British Army Warrior fighting vehicle wheels.
The vehicles are due to be upgraded to extend their service life beyond 2020.
Icon will be making use of its newly-developed Endurance compound which will withstand the increased weight of the Warriors.
“We have extensive experience of the defence industry and securing this prestigious contract underlines our commitment to performance and safety,” said director of sales John Greaves. “We have invested heavily in our manufacturing cell for fighting vehicle wheels to ensure that Icon is well positioned to supply this product for the life of the current and future vehicle range.”
