The Manufacturing Finance Conference 2008

We are delighted to host our second Manufacturing Finance Conference, this year to be held at Grange White Hall Hotel in London.

The economy remains a central issue affecting the manufacturing sector, with steadily increasing input and output costs, volatile exchange rates and diminishing consumer confidence continuing to hinder operations.

The Manufacturing Finance Conference will provide the opportunity to stay informed, to plan ahead and to ensure business performance is maximised despite the current economic climate.

We welcome Peter Andrews of the Bank of England as the keynote speaker for the event, who will be discussing monetary policy and delivering a financial forecast for the three month quarter ahead. David Smith, economics editor for the Sunday Times, will host our economics workshop, describing the signals and indicators to look for in assessing prospects for the UK and overseas economies and markets, and the forces that are likely to impact on manufacturing outlook. Lean accounting will be covered by John Darlington, whose workshop will aim to explode the often mythological traditional views of lean flow, while offering simple participative simulations that can be easily applied to your own business.

Pronovotech director Tony Christian will be on hand to explain the often cryptic R&D tax credit system. Describing the scale and nature of the benefits available and providing an introduction to the claim process, he will also explain how the system is applicable to a manufacturing organisation.

Don’t let finance become an obstacle to success – come along to the Manufacturing Finance Conference and learn how to use it to your company’s advantage.
