Shadow Environment Secretary Greg Barker tells Colin Chinery that climate change is Britain's opportunity and the Conservatives are best placed to seize it
Centrepiece of the re-branding of the Conservative Party was a green and blue pastel motif, replacing - with its unconscious later-day carbon inferences - the former flaming torch.
Voters are urged "Vote Blue, Go Green" and in the May local elections did so in sufficient numbers to turn Blairite faces puce and white. Environmentalism is a distinctive Cameron Footprint and next month the party publishes its "Quality of Life" Review.
