ETI to hold meet and greet at Sustainabilitylive!

The Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) will play host at a lunch at Sustainabilitylive! 2008 in a bid to share its plans for the renewable energy research market.

Taking place at the Advantage West Midlands stand on May 21, the ETI are sponsoring the lunch in order to meet and greet those who want to discover more about their status as a combined public and private sector organisation that offers 100% funding to energy research and implementation programmes.

The ETI lunch will take place in the Environmental Technology and Environmental Services (ET&ES) show, the UK’s largest gathering of suppliers and buyers in the environment industry. Held between May 20-22, 2008 at the NEC Birmingham, the show is run as part of Sustainabilitylive! – the UK’s largest event for innovation and excellence in the environment, water, energy and land sectors.

ET&ES comes with the support of key bodies including CIWM, iema, the Environment Agency and the Society of Environmental Engineers, with Envirowise, UKTI and MSE Hiller all confirmed as exhibitors.

The accompanying seminar programme is set to be just as exciting, with a session by Business in the Community on ‘Sustainable products, sustainable profits’. Other sessions will be run by ENDS, EIC and the UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development (CEED).

Featuring as part of Sustainabilitylive!, three other events will run alongside ET&ES: Brownfield Expo (BEX), International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX) and National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX) –

creating the perfect platform to transfer best practice across sectors.

Sustainabilitylive! 2008 will feature over 450 exhibitors, an extensive conference programme with high profile speakers, master classes and seminars with excellent networking opportunities over the three days. With leading experts in the environment, energy, water and land sectors attending, the event creates the ideal location for industry knowledge, inspiration and answers.

Donna Bushell, event director, comments: “Sustainabilitylive! 2008 encompasses events dedicated to sustainable development and resource efficiency for both the public and private sectors – providing a solution for those with environmental management responsibility.”

“We have over 100 hours of free seminar content for visitors,” continues Donna Bushell, “which offers a great deal of and technical content to keep everyone up-to-date with industry developments across land, energy, water and environment.”

She concludes: “Visitors are able to maximise their time out of the office, while exhibitors are provided with the optimum platform to showcase products and services and meet new and existing customers and clients.”
