Delphi was awarded a $160 million contract from a major US automaker to provide safety systems, including driver and passenger airbags, steering wheels, and seat belts.
Delphi’s safety system package also includes its patented Seat Belt Tension Sensing Switch that helps the automobile manufacturer to meet the new FMVSS 208 regulations.
“While focusing on our current customers’ needs, we are also pleased to supply our award-winning safety systems to new customers around the world,” said James Bertrand, Delphi vice president and president of Delphi Safety & Interior Systems.
