According to Manpower, Inc.’s quarterly hiring survey, the manufacturing sector can expect to see an increase in hiring in certain parts of the US from April to June of this year, namely in the Southern and Western states.
The survey indicated that nondurable goods manufacturers in the West are most apt to be hiring, followed by manufacturers of durable goods, transportation, and public utilities in that same region. The Midwest is the only region that shows no improvement in hiring at manufacturers of nondurable goods.
