The Boeing Co. will further trim down its already slim production rate for its 767 jet model to one plane every month and a half.
The company is currently experiencing a record-low backlog of 36 767 jets to be built, and with no large orders on the horizon. As a result, Boeing will also reduce its workforce, according to anonymous source at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Circumstances may be even worse for the company’s 757 jet model line, which has only 27 planes waiting to be built.
