Chicago’s PMI increased in February

Chicago’s Purchasing Managers Index increased to 54.9 in February because of an influx of new orders and increased production, surpassing analysts’ expectations of 52.5.
The index showed that new orders continued its upward trend to 59, and production, reflecting the rise in orders, increased to 62.4. Inventories remained low at 46.2, and employment remains below 50.
