Cincom Debuts Control:2002

ERP software for complex manufacturers

Cincom has just announced the release of the latest version of their ERP software, which includes a new suite of components for complex manufacturers who need program management and cost control such as those with engineer-to-order and manufacture-to-order environments. Describing Control:2002 as a portfolio of Web-enabled business applications that address the complete business cycle of companies who build and service complex products, the company is concentrating on providing customers with an end-to-end software solution.

According to Dan Nichols, Cincom¹s director of product planning, Control:2002 supports the management of the entire product lifecyle, from inception through to design, production, and aftermarket service. The product allows project managers to define different work breakdown structures and track cost roll-ups, direct and indirect labor, and actual and standard costs. Cincom stresses that the Web-based structure of Control:2002 provides online access to information on products available to sell, revisions needing to be built, whether or not older revisions can be used up first, and when other parts can be substituted.
