Delphi announces $469 million in steering column business

Troy, MI-based auto parts manufacturer Delphi Corp. announced steering column manufacturing contracts in North America, Europe and Asia which will bring Delphi $469 million over the life of the contracts.
The new business secured represents a 51 percent increase in annual global steering column booked business since 2002.
The new and retained contracts include car, truck and commercial vehicle applications, which will utilize both manual and power, rake, rake and telescope, tilt and telescope and active energy absorbing steering column technology.
Delphi produces columns in North America, Europe, Asia and South America, and is the leading producer of steering columns worldwide.
