Kronos has announced a completed roll out of their Workforce Central product to all Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America (MMMA) employees.
The installation is part of Mitsubishi's effort to reduce their hours-per-vehicle rate at their passenger-car assembly plant in Normal, Illinois, as measured by the Harbour Report. Kronos reports that MMMA's previous labor management system required extensive customer programming to accommodate the company's complex work rules. The building blocks within Kronos¹s pay-rules processing engine reduce the need for such programming.
MMMA's 2,600 hourly employees use Kronos badge terminals, and with the final rollout, the office-based workers use Kronos Workforce Professional to enter data through the Web. MMMA's payroll administrator explains that the company has used the product to develop customized reports that track authorized hours by group, allowing management to better respond to manpower needs on the assembly line.
