Honeywell Process Solutions today announced that it has signed a $1 million contract with the Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO).
Honeywell will supply its Manufacturing Execution System for information management and performance monitoring at QAFCO's ammonia and urea production facility in Mesaieed, Qatar. Honeywell’s system aims to help the facility streamline data handling to reduce manual entry tasks, improve validation and reconciliation of data, and ensure efficient transmission of information. The contract is one of several between Honeywell and QAFCO.
QAFCO is currently expanding its operational facilities. Upon completion of its expansion program by mid-2004, QAFCO will be the world’s largest single-site producer of urea and a major producer of ammonia.
Morris Township, NJ-based Honeywell International is a $23 billion diversified technology and manufacturing company.
