Armor Holdings announces $16.6 million US Army contract award

Jacksonville, FL-based military contractor Armor Holdings announced that it has received a $16.6 million contract award, under its contract with the US Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, to supply additional fully armored Humvee vehicles through 2004 and into 2005.

Under the contract, Armor Holdings will increase its vehicle production rates for the US Army to achieve 350 units per-month as early as July 2004. The award also includes armored Humvees for the US Air Force for delivery in early 2005.

All of the company’s Humvee production will be performed at the Company's Fairfield, OH, facility.
