Truck manufacturer Navistar International Corp. has reported quarterly earnings of $41 million compared with a net loss of $14 million in the same period last year.
Truck manufacturer Navistar International Corp. has reported quarterly earnings of $41 million compared with a net loss of $14 million in the same period last year. Recovery in the heavy truck sector as well as a new in-line six-cylinder engine, the International DT466 are credited with the upswing.
Warrenville, Illinois-based Navistar manufactures International brand commercial trucks, mid-range diesel engines and IC brand school buses and is a private label designer and manufacturer of diesel engines for the pickup truck, van and SUV markets. The company also provides financing for customers and dealers. Additionally, through a joint venture with Ford Motor Company, the company builds medium commercial trucks and sells truck and diesel engine service parts.
