Warnaco Group to acquire Ocean Pacific Apparel

Clothing manufacturer Warnaco Group Inc. today announced an agreement to buy clothing brand Ocean Pacific Apparel Corp. for $40 million.

Warnaco will also assume $1 million of debt as part of the agreement. Warnaco manufactures Speedo brand swimwear, among other brands.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close during this quarter.
