The Commerce Department reports that new orders at US factories were up by 0.7 percent in June.
The Commerce Department reports that new orders at US factories were up by 0.7 percent in June. Forecasters had predicted a 0.5 percent increase.
Demand for durable goods, items meant to last three years or more, rose by 0.9 percent.
Non-durable goods were up 0.5 percent.
