Intevac, Inc., announced a follow-on order for three of the company’s 200 Lean systems from an existing customer.
Intevac’s 200 Lean is a disk manufacturing system that provides enhanced capabilities to the installed base of the IntevacMDP-250 system. The 200 Lean has a smaller footprint, enabling more magnetic disks to be manufactured per square-foot of factory floor space.
“These three systems are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2005. Year-to-date, our customers have ordered a total of 16 disk sputtering systems, all of which are scheduled for delivery and expected to be recognized for revenue in 2005. This year-to-date total already exceeds by three the total number of systems we recognized for revenue in all of 2004," said Intevac Chief Executive Kevin Fairbairn.
