Under a new agreement with Boeing Commercial Airplanes, BAE Systems will provide Actuator Control Electronics (ACE) for the Boeing 777.
The contract is set to run through 2012, seven years longer than the original contract. The details of the contract call for updating the ACE to address parts obsolescence. BAE has already completed the ACE design update with flight-worthy units being delivered to Boeing. Tests are slated to begin this month, with certification set for completion in August.
