GM recalls more than two million trucks and SUVs

The world’s largest automaker, General Motors, announced that it would recall more than two million of its vehicles to fix various equipment defects, including faulty seat belts.

The largest recall is of 1.5 million full-size pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles with seat belts that may be difficult to position properly. There were no reports that any of the belts had yet caused injuries.

The seat-belt-related recall includes 2003, 2004 and 2005-model Chevrolet Suburbans and Tahoes, Hummer H2s, Cadillac Escalades, and several other models. GM also announced five other smaller recalls. The company had more vehicle recalls last year than any other single automaker.
