Exide renews aftermarket contract

Georgia-based Exide Technologies has renewed a contract with the largest aftermarket automotive supplier in Australia and New Zealand.

Under the agreement, Exide, a global leader in stored electrical-energy solutions, will continue to supply batteries to Repco Limited for an additional two year period. Repco is the largest supplier of aftermarket automotive parts in Australia and New Zealand and has more than 430 retail locations.

"Exide has been the automotive battery supplier to Repco for more than 15 years in Australia and 10 years in New Zealand, and I believe that is a testament to the ongoing benefits of the products, logistics and service offerings provided by Exide," said Allan Moore, Vice President and General Manager - Asia Pacific at Exide. "We look forward to continuing our relationship with Repco."

Exide Technologies, has operations in 89 countries and is one of the world's largest producers and recyclers of lead-acid batteries. The company's four global business groups, Transportation Americas, Transportation Europe and Rest of World, Industrial Energy Americas and Industrial Energy Europe and Rest of World, provide a range of stored electrical energy products and services for industrial and transportation applications.
