SMRP relies on new executive director

Patrick E. Winters has been named executive director of the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, announced Larry Cote, the Society’s chairperson.

Winters has a background in association management, and was named Association Executive of the Year by his peers and while leading the Building Owners and Mangers Association, the organization was named Association of the Year in international competition.

“My initial focus at SMRP will be to evaluate an already excellent organization, take a look at our strengths and weaknesses and make recommendations to bring the organization to a new level of excellence,” Winters said.

Winters is active in the American Society of Association Executives, where he was honored by President Bush for developing programs on public-private sector initiatives, was the three-time winner of the Associations Advance America award, and was most recently recognized for his contributions to the book Managing Association Turnarounds.

The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) is a non-profit, educational Society comprised of individuals responsible for and corporations that implement maintenance and reliability practices. The organization's individual and corporate members represent many Fortune 1000 companies.
