A&D: Raytheon pens $57 Million missile contract with UK

Raytheon Co. has signed a $57 million contract to provide the British Royal Navy with missile defense systems for warships.
The contract is for upgrade kits for the Phalanx, a radar and gun system present on every UK battleship. The Phalanx recognizes and fires upon close-up threats, such as anti-ship missiles and approaching enemy vessels.
