Consumer electronics: Film-cameras die another death

Japanese camera maker Canon will stop development of single-lens reflect or SLR cameras. Not a surprise – in the last twelve months, rivals Nikon and Konica Minolta have made similar announcements.
Both Kodak and FujiFilm have discontinued various films and papers, particularly the “artistic” varieties, like Kodak’s black-and-white photographic paper, and TRI-X black and white films. Kodak cited a 25 percent annual decrease in sales for black and white paper, while Nikon declared 95 percent of their sales are attributed to their digital line-up., and Fuji Film abandoned
