Codeon Launches Collaborative Manufacturing Effort

To meet a growing demand for their optical transponder components and modules, Columbia, Maryland-based Codeon Corp. is depoying applications from Datasweep, Inc.
Codeon's goal is to speed time to market by gathering robust data and deploying Web-based analytics key production metrics such as cycle times and test results. Using Datasweep Advantage, Codeon is connecting its production, engineering, and product design information with its order and inventory management systems.
"With growing customer demand, Datasweep was the clear choice for the critical manufacturing software infrastructure required to accelerate Codeon's move up the yield and new-product introductions curves, " says John Stroke, Codeon's production manager. "Because of Datasweep's Web-based, scalable architectures, we know the solution will continue to meet our needs as we scale production and incorporate multiple plants," he adds.
