Datastream's 7i is the first enterprise asset lifecycle management product built 100 per cent for the Web.
The product's Web architecture allows companies to deploy it on a single Web server, with end-users connection to the application using a standard Web browser over regular Internet connections. Accroding to Datastream, the product is significantly easier and less expensive to deploy than competing porducts.
Datastream 7i is available as a self-hosted or Datastream-hosted application. The latter option eliminates the equipment, software, and personnel costs associated with purchasing, deploying, and maintaining the application, while ensuring immediate access to the latest version of the software.
Datastream has introduced an upgrade program to help customers using the company's MP2 and MP5 products migrate to Datastream 7i, which is fully integrated with iProcure, a leading automated industrial procurement network. In addition to the new architecture and deployment options, Datastream 7i features an easier-to-use interface and a broad range of extended functionality, including key performance indicators, inventory control, regulatory compliance, and warranty management.
