Boeing, at the Farnborough International Airshow, has announced a few scheduling challenges, according to a CNN Money story.
The 787 Dreamliner is the lightweight commercial aircraft much credited with Boeing's first-in-a-while trouncing of rival Airbus in global markets.
Boeing's Alan Mulally, at the Airshow, described that some areas of the project are behind schedule, and that the plane as designed is still over the target weight. The 787 as designed will be crafted out of carbon fiber and titanium, to reduce weight and fuel costs. Mulally believes Boeing will make first deliveries in 2008 as agreed, with such hefty purchasers as the governments of China and India among the 360 orders.
