Raytheon Co. has landed a $112.9 million Pentagon contract to deliver an undisclosed number of medium-range air-to-air missiles, according to UPI.
The AIM-120D configuration of the so-called Amraam missile includes an enhanced data link, improved kinematics, and GPS Inertial Measurement Unit capability, Raytheon announced in a news release Friday.
Most of the work on the contract, which calls for missiles to be delivered from 2007 through 2009, will be performed at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Ariz.
