ILS now offers RFID

NASHUA, NH – October 30, 2006 – Integrated Labeling Systems, Inc. (ILS™), a leading provider of Automatic ID and EPC/RFID solutions, announces the availability of its RFID Starter/Pilot Kits to enable users to easily, efficiently and cost effectively meet the basic requirements for current Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and U.S. Dept. of Defense compliance.

RFID implementation can be daunting, as manufacturers find, but starter kits can be a welcome experiment in getting used to the technology.

ILS has designed several multi-protocol configurations for users who, as ILS describes, "want a low cost, easy path that satisfies their compliance needs. The RFID Starter/Pilot Kit configurations enable users who are required to meet compliance mandates to successfully implement RFID quickly and proficiently."

ILS also offers a UID Starter Kit including customized software for U.S. Dept. of Defense customers.

According to John F. Tavares, president of ILS, "To help our customers learn about RFID technology and get started phasing in both compliance and internal improvement solutions, we launched the ILS RFID Starter/Pilot Kit program. In some cases where tag usage is low, these RFID Starter/Pilot Kits are a complete solution. Where larger and more complex applications exist, the starter kits serve as the initial phase to a much larger and complex pilot. While phase one is being implemented, most customers find several opportunities to use this technology not for compliance, but to improve their internal processes."
