Forbes speculates that the Democratic election coup will stymie medpharm profits, long term.
Congress for years has battled the medpharm industry on cheaper drug imports from Canada, and the balance now suggests such a bill will pass. Also true, fundamental reforms of patent laws will likely make it easier to launch specific kinds of generics, and two bipartisan bills aim to give the the Food and Drug Administration more power to ensure drug safety.
